|Hollywood Offbeat (Steve Randall) - The Trial - Episode 13|
In this filmed series, screen star Melvyn Douglas appeared as a disbarred lawyer who had turned sleuth in an attempt to regain his right to practice law. A suave, mustachioed detective, he greased his way through assorted cases of blackmail and murder before finally reaching his goal - reinstatement as a lawyer - in the final episode. There this short series ended. Prior to it's network run, some episodes of Steve Randall were seen locally under the title of Hollywood Offbeat...

|Excerpts from 1951 Television - Matthew Paul Argall|
I don't know if this video is legal or not, but here's a collection of excerpts from public domain United States television programming from 1951. I give a (lousy) introduction at the start. Some of these clips are very pleasant and charmingly dated, while others make it clear that there is a reason times have changed. Represented are clips of shows from CBS, ABC, NBC, DuMont, and first-run syndication...
